The programme
What it is.
Resurface & Repair is a course of Fotona fractional laser resurfacing paired with polynucleotides. The laser removes microscopic columns of tired surface skin and heats the layer beneath, which prompts the skin to remodel. The polynucleotides, injected into the repair window that follows, are purified DNA fragments that activate fibroblasts to rebuild collagen and elastin. One remodels, the other repairs.
The two are not done on the same day. The laser is performed first; the polynucleotides follow about two weeks later, once the skin has begun to heal, which is both safer and the point at which the repair signal does most. Dr Beiki runs three rounds of each, the laser sessions eight weeks apart, with the fuller collagen change settling over the six months after the course.

Why it works
The science, plainly.
Why laser and polynucleotides together
Fractional resurfacing improves texture and remodels collagen, and it leaves the skin in an active healing state. Polynucleotides placed into that window give the fibroblasts the material to rebuild with, and their anti-inflammatory action helps the treated skin settle faster. The laser does the remodelling while the repair is actively supported, rather than left to chance. The change is cumulative, which is why it runs as three rounds rather than one.
Why they are spaced, not combined
Polynucleotides are injected, so they are not placed into freshly lasered skin on the same day: that risks uneven uptake and infection. Spacing them about two weeks after each laser session is the safer sequence, and it uses the eight weeks the fractional laser needs between passes rather than adding visits.

About this programme, specifically.
How is this different from Fotona with PRP?+
It is the same idea with a different repair partner. PRP uses your own platelets, drawn and spun on the day; polynucleotides are a purified, standardised product placed a couple of weeks after each laser session. Both support recovery after resurfacing, and Dr Beiki will suggest which suits you at consultation.
Why not do the polynucleotides on the same day as the laser?+
Polynucleotides are injected, and injecting into freshly lasered skin risks uneven uptake and infection. Placing them about two weeks later, once healing has begun, is the safer sequence and is when the repair signal does most.
How much downtime is there?+
The laser sessions carry the downtime: expect redness and some peeling for around five to seven days after each. The polynucleotide visits have essentially none. Photobiomodulation after each laser can help the recovery settle.
When will I see a difference?+
Texture improves within the first weeks. The fuller collagen change builds over the six months after the course, as the remodelling matures.
