SkinPen medical-grade microneedling is an FDA-cleared collagen induction therapy that creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. This triggers your body’s natural wound-healing cascade, producing new collagen and elastin without chemicals or heat. The result is smoother, firmer, more even skin, naturally regenerated from within.
The science
The SkinPen device uses 12 ultra-fine needles that oscillate at high speed, creating precise micro-channels in the skin at controlled depths. This triggers three phases of healing: inflammation (platelets release growth factors), proliferation (new collagen and elastin form), and remodelling (the skin restructures over weeks). A course is what Dr Beiki recommends over a single session: the results are cumulative, so a course builds and holds, while a single session is a top-up or a first trial. He will advise the areas and the number of sessions that genuinely serve you, never more. The £75 consultation is fully redeemable against any treatment booked.

What it won’t do.
The questions clinics avoid are often the ones that decide whether you book. So we put them here, before you ask.

It will not change your skin overnight. Real texture change happens over a course of three to six sessions.

It will not erase deep acne scarring on its own. For significant scars I will usually pair it with laser or PRP.

It will not be redness-free. Expect twenty-four to forty-eight hours of looking lightly sunburnt. That is the work happening.

It will not be safe to do at home with a roller. Medical depth is what gives you results; home devices give you scarring.

About Microneedling, specifically.
Does it hurt?+
Numbing cream is applied 20 minutes beforehand. Most patients describe a scratching or vibrating sensation: not painful, just unusual.
How many sessions do I need?+
For general skin rejuvenation, 3 sessions. For acne scarring, 4–6 sessions may be needed. Sessions are spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
What does my skin look like after?+
Your skin will be red, similar to mild sunburn, for 24–48 hours. This fades quickly. Most patients are comfortable in public by day 2.
Can microneedling be combined with PRP?+
Yes. Our PRP + Microneedling combination pairs the two well. PRP drives the healing response for enhanced results.
Is SkinPen different from derma rollers?+
Yes. SkinPen is an FDA-cleared medical device with controlled depth and speed. Home derma rollers are imprecise and can cause scarring. Medical microneedling should only be performed by a trained practitioner.
