What it is
Acne scarring is what the skin keeps as a record of inflammation it once contained. It outlasts the acne itself, often by years, and it tends to read in photographs and side-light more sharply than it does in a mirror. The good news is that it remodels well, with patience.
We treat scarring in layered work over months, not in a single appointment. The approach depends on the scar type (ice pick, boxcar, rolling) and on the canvas around it. Most patients see fifty to eighty per cent improvement; rare patients reach more, and we are honest about that at the start.

It will not erase scarring entirely. Aim for fifty to eighty per cent improvement; patients who expect perfection are rarely happy.
It will not be a single session. Real remodelling needs three to six visits across six to twelve months.
It will not work while you have active acne. We control breakouts first, then revise the scars.
It will not be the same treatment for every scar type. Ice pick, boxcar, and rolling each respond differently.
It will not hold without daily SPF. UV is the fastest way to darken scars and undo the work.
