About this treatment
Fotona skin resurfacing uses fractional laser technology to treat deep lines, acne scarring, pigmentation, and sun damage by creating controlled microscopic treatment zones in the skin. The surrounding healthy tissue accelerates healing, resulting in smoother, clearer, more youthful skin. This is our most intensive resurfacing treatment.
The science
The Fotona laser delivers precise columns of energy into the skin, vaporising tiny fractions of damaged tissue. The surrounding healthy skin cells immediately begin a wound-healing response, producing new collagen and replacing damaged cells with fresh, organised tissue. The fractional approach means faster healing than full-surface ablation.

Each area is priced on its own, so you treat only what you came for. A course is what Dr Beiki recommends over a single session: the results are cumulative, so a course builds and holds, while a single session is a top-up or a first trial. He will advise the areas and the number of sessions that genuinely serve you, never more. The £75 consultation is fully redeemable against any treatment booked.

Honesty
What it won’t do.
The questions clinics avoid are often the ones that decide whether you book. So we put them here, before you ask.

It will not be downtime-free. Plan for five to seven days of peeling and redness. This is non-negotiable.

It will not erase every scar in one session. Atrophic scarring needs a course of three, eight weeks apart.

It will not be appropriate during summer or before sun exposure. Strict UV avoidance is part of the protocol.

It will not replace good aftercare. The result depends on what you do in the two weeks that follow.

About Fotona Skin Resurfacing, specifically.
How much downtime should I expect?+
5–7 days of redness and peeling. Most patients are comfortable returning to work by day 5 with mineral makeup. The peeling reveals fresh, smooth skin underneath.
Is it painful?+
Topical anaesthetic is applied for 30 minutes beforehand. You’ll feel warmth and occasional stinging during treatment. It’s very tolerable.
How many sessions do I need?+
A course of 3 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart, delivers optimal results for scarring and deep lines. Some patients see dramatic improvement after just one session.
Can it treat acne scars?+
Yes. Fotona resurfacing is one of the most effective treatments for atrophic (indented) acne scarring. Multiple sessions progressively smooth the skin surface.
