What it is
Hooded eyes can be lifelong or age-related. Either way, the appearance is the same: the upper-lid skin folds onto itself, the eye reads narrower, and applying eyeshadow becomes a different exercise. For some patients this is simply their eye shape; for others it has crept in with descent of the brow.
Non-surgical work is honest about its limits. A subtle brow lift opens the eye area; non-ablative laser tightens the surrounding skin; volume work supports the brow above. None of these replace blepharoplasty for true excess skin. But for the patient who wants subtle, restorative change, they often deliver more than expected.
What we look for

Where it isn’t the answer
It will not replicate blepharoplasty. For true excess skin, surgery is the honest answer; we will say so.
It will not change the shape of your eye. We restore the position of the brow; the eye remains entirely yours.
It will not be a dramatic change. The shift is subtle. Patients describe looking rested, not different.

It will not work for every patient. Some hooded eyes are genuinely surgical; honest consultation tells you which you are.
