The programme
What it is.
Not every dark circle is a hollow, and not every tired eye needs filler. Where the issue is thin, crepey, lax skin around the eye, this programme treats the skin itself. Polynucleotides thicken and regenerate the delicate periorbital dermis; the Fotona SmoothEye laser then tightens the lower-lid skin and stimulates collagen, firming the crepe that deepens the shadow.
It is the right route for patients whose under-eye reads tired because of skin quality and mild laxity rather than volume loss, and for anyone who wants to improve the area without injectable filler. The course runs over weeks, with the skin firming and evening progressively.

The science, plainly.
Polynucleotides for thin skin
The lower-lid dermis is the most delicate on the face. Polynucleotides signal fibroblasts to regenerate, thickening the skin and reducing the visibility of underlying vessels, which is the strongest non-injectable option for the skin-thinness type of dark circle.
SmoothEye for laxity
The non-ablative Nd:YAG SmoothEye protocol heats the lower-lid skin to stimulate collagen and tighten, firming the crepe and mild laxity that cast a shadow, with no incision and minimal downtime.

Is this instead of tear-trough filler?+
It treats a different cause. Filler corrects a true hollow; this programme treats thin, crepey, lax skin. At consultation Dr Beiki identifies which you have, and will recommend filler instead if that is the right answer.
Is the laser safe around the eye?+
Yes. SmoothEye is a non-ablative protocol designed for the periorbital area, with protective measures in place. Most patients have only mild warmth and minimal downtime.
How long until I see a difference?+
The skin firms progressively over the course, with the fuller collagen change settling in the weeks after the final session.
