What it is
Snoring is the sound of relaxed tissue at the back of the throat vibrating as air passes a narrowed airway during sleep. For many it is simply disruptive, to a partner first and to their own rest second. For others it sits alongside obstructive sleep apnoea, which is a medical condition in its own right and the first thing we screen for.
Where simple snoring is the issue, NightLase offers a gentle, non-surgical option. A non-ablative laser warms and tightens the soft palate over a short course, so the tissue vibrates less. Preparation matters: Dr Beiki primes and assesses the tissue before treatment and manages it across the course and afterwards, reviewing the result and timing maintenance. Where the history suggests sleep apnoea, he will refer you to sleep medicine before any treatment.
