What it is
Smile lines (properly, nasolabial folds) are the soft lines that run from the nose to the corner of the mouth. They appear with every smile and, for most of life, soften when the face relaxes. At some point they begin to stay, and that staying is rarely about the line itself.
More often the line is the symptom and the cause is upstream. The cheek pad has descended, the bone has resorbed slightly, and the smile line is what remains. Treating the fold directly without addressing the mid-face is one of the commonest errors in cosmetic medicine, and one we deliberately avoid.

It will not be filler placed directly into the fold as a first move. That makes most smile lines look worse.
It will not change your smile. The expression remains entirely yours.

It will not erase a deep set line on its own. Layered work over months is the honest plan.
It will not look done if dosed conservatively. Friends say you look rested; they rarely identify the treatment.
